WELLBET EN: WellSports News: Neymar lacks the skill to outshine Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at World Cup Russia 2018

NEYMAR can guide Brazil to this year’s World Cup and be named player of the tournament.

 (Wellbet World Cup 2018).

That’s the view of former World Cup winner Marcel Desailly, who won the tournament with France in 1998.
Neymar is currently out injured and missed Brazil’s friendly victories over Russia and Germany this week.

Neymar has a remarkable record with Brazil, netting 53 times in 83 games despite being just 26.
And Desailly believes the Brazil star can overcome the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to guide his nation to their sixth World Cup.
"I'd like Neymar to be the one, if he can recover well and play consecutive games," Desailly told Omnisport.

"We know all the big names. We have two guys from another planet, with Portugal's [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Argentina's Messi.

"It's tricky to find anyone else emerging. We'd love to see [Antoine] Griezmann play really well."
Most bookies have Brazil as second favourites to win in Russia with Germany as the tip to lift the trophy.

Gabriel Jesus’s goal separated the sides on Tuesday in Berlin with both sides fielding strong teams.
And Desailly believes Tite’s side can repeat the feat in a few months time.
"Besides France, I'll say Brazil,” the former Chelsea defender added.

“And why not a France v Brazil final? To mark the 20th anniversary of our victory. That would be kind of great.

"I [also] have strong faith in Argentina, even if they struggled to qualify. Sometimes the countries that have team issues get a wake-up call. I really think Argentina can do something.
